Rajshahi, Bangladesh – Rajshahi University (RU) has commenced the admit card download process for the ‘B’ Unit (Commerce) first-year undergraduate admission test for the 2024-25 academic year, starting today, Tuesday, April 8th, 2025. This information supersedes previous announcements regarding a suspension or later start dates for the download.
Professor Md. Saiful Islam, Director of the university’s ICT Center, confirmed to The Daily Campus on Monday, April 7th, that the download window for ‘B’ Unit candidates will remain open until April 12th, 2025.
Eligible candidates can download their admit cards by logging in with their SSC and HSC examination roll numbers, passing years, and board names via the official admission website: www.ru.ac.bd/admission.
Important Notes for Candidates
- Previously Downloaded Admit Cards: Candidates who downloaded their admit cards earlier do not necessarily need to re-download them. However, these earlier versions might not include the specific examination center building name.
- Finding Exam Building: The university’s ICT Center will notify candidates of their specific exam center and building via SMS. Alternatively, candidates can find this information by logging into the admission website or by checking the notice boards at their assigned examination centers. Candidates also have the option to re-download the admit card to get the version with the building name printed on it.
- Multiple Copies Required: Each candidate must download two copies of the admit card for each unit they are appearing for – one marked “University Copy” and the other “Candidate Copy”. Therefore, a candidate appearing for two units needs four admit cards, and for three units, six admit cards.
- Signature: The signature on the admit card must exactly match the signature on the candidate’s HSC registration card.
- Exam Day Procedure: Candidates must bring all downloaded admit card copies to the examination hall. The invigilator will sign both copies, retain the “University Copy,” and return the “Candidate Copy” to the student.
- Retain Candidate Copy: The “Candidate Copy” is essential and must be preserved safely by the candidate. It will be required during the viva voce (interview) and final admission process if the candidate is selected.
Exam Schedule and Format
The admission test dates remain unchanged:
- ‘B’ Unit (Commerce): April 12, 2025
- ‘A’ Unit (Humanities): April 19, 2025
- ‘C’ Unit (Science): April 26, 2025
The admission test will be a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) based exam totaling 100 marks, comprising 80 questions to be answered within one hour. There will be negative marking, with one mark deducted for every four incorrect answers. No marks will be allocated based on SSC or HSC GPA scores.
All finally selected candidates are reminded that downloading the admit card within the stipulated time is mandatory. For further admission-related information, candidates should consult the university’s official website: www.ru.ac.bd.

রাবি এবার ২৪-২৫ এর পরিক্ষার্থীদের অনেক হয়রানি শিকার করিয়েছে । তাদের পরিক্ষার সেন্টার একদম বাজে ভাবে করা হয়েছে । শিক্ষার্থী যদি রংপুর সেন্টায় দেয় সেখানে তারা চট্টগ্রামে সিট দিয়ে দিছে । এমন কেনো ? এতো শিক্ষার্থীদের হয়রানি কেনো?
আমার বাসা খুলনা, আমি মেয়ে মানুষ। চট্টগ্রামে কোন আত্মীয়স্বজনও নেই যে সেখানে গিয়ে থেকে পরিক্ষা দেবো। প্রথম চয়েজ খুলনা এবং সবশেষে চিটাগং দেওয়া ছিল, চিটাগং এই সেন্টার এসেছে। পরিক্ষা হয়তো দেওয়া হবেনা।💔
