COU Result 2025: Comilla University B Unit Admission Results Out, Pass Rate 49.71%

Comilla, Bangladesh – April 27, 2025: Comilla University (COU) has announced the results for its ‘B’ Unit admission test. This test was for students seeking admission in the 2024-2025 academic year.

The results were published on Sunday afternoon. Good news for many students: the pass rate is 49.71 percent. This means almost half of the students who took the test passed.

The ‘B’ Unit admission test was held last Friday, April 25th. Many students applied for this unit. The total number of applicants was 23,793. Out of these, 16,758 students actually sat for the exam. This is an attendance rate of 70.43 percent.

There are 440 seats available in the ‘B’ Unit. A total of 8,332 students passed the admission test.

Most of the successful students (6,856) came from an Arts and Humanities background. Also, 1,052 successful candidates were from a Science background. Another 424 passed students were from a Business Studies background.

The highest score achieved in the test (without adding GPA) was 86.25 by an Arts group student. The top score for the Science group was 70.25. For the Business Studies group, the highest score was 72.50.

Students can see their full individual COU Result 2025 starting Monday, April 28th. They need to visit the official Comilla University admissions website (admission.cou.ac.bd). Applicants can log into their personal panels on the website to check their detailed results.

This year is important for Comilla University. It held its own admission tests after four years. Before this, COU was part of the cluster (Guchchha) admission system.

The university has already published results for its ‘A’ Unit (Science related subjects) and ‘C’ Unit (Business Studies). These tests were held on April 19th. Their results came out late on April 22nd. The pass rate for ‘A’ Unit was 34.05%, while the ‘C’ Unit pass rate was 69.75%.

Overall, Comilla University has 1,030 seats for first-year students across all units. There was high competition this year. A total of 66,402 students applied for these seats. This means about 64 students competed for every single seat.

COU also changed its marking system this year. The final merit list is based on 120 marks. The admission test itself counts for 100 marks. The student’s GPA from SSC and HSC exams counts for the remaining 20 marks.

Students who have passed the ‘B’ Unit test should now wait for further instructions. The university will soon announce the next steps for admission.
