Dhaka, Bangladesh – The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has published the final results of the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination on Monday, June 30, 2025. The results are now available on the PSC’s official website.
This announcement brings an end to a long wait for many candidates. The journey for the 44th BCS began on November 30, 2021, with the publication of the circular. A total of 350,716 candidates applied for the examination.
After a competitive preliminary exam, 15,708 candidates qualified for the written test. The written examination results were published on April 3, 2024, with 11,732 candidates successfully passing and becoming eligible for the viva voce.
The PSC has recommended a total of 1,710 candidates for appointment across various cadres. This recruitment drive aims to fill crucial positions within the government.
The breakdown of the posts for different cadres is as follows:
- Administration: 250 posts
- Police: 50 posts
- Foreign Affairs: 10 posts
- Ansar: 14 posts
- Audit and Accounts: 30 posts
- Tax: 11 posts
- Cooperatives: 8 posts
- Railway Transport and Commercial: 7 posts
- Information: 10 posts
- Postal: 23 posts
- Commerce: 6 posts
- Family Planning: 27 posts
- Food: 3 posts
- Technical: 485 posts
- Education: 776 posts
PSC Chairman Mobasher Monem had earlier stated that the commission was prioritizing the swift completion of the 44th BCS process. The viva voce examinations were completed by June 17, and as promised, the final results have been published by the end of June.
