The final result for the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination is likely to be published tomorrow, Monday, June 30, 2025. The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) is working to release the result by the evening.
This has been a long-awaited result for many candidates.
Sources at the BPSC and the Ministry of Public Administration confirmed this information on Sunday. An official from the PSC, who wished to remain anonymous, said, “The work on the 44th BCS result is in its final stage. We are preparing the result in our Result Processing (RP) room.” He added that the work is being done under the direct supervision of the PSC Chairman. “If everything goes according to plan, the result will be published tomorrow,” he said.
No Increase in Posts
Despite earlier discussions, the number of posts for the 44th BCS will not be increased. A proposal to add over 400 new posts was sent to the Chief Adviser’s office. However, the proposal was not approved.
An official from the Ministry of Public Administration stated that these additional posts will be included in a future BCS circular.
Journey of the 44th BCS
The BPSC had earlier aimed to publish the result quickly. On April 8, during the PSC’s anniversary event, Chairman Mobasser Monem told reporters that the viva voce (oral examination) for the 44th BCS would be completed by June 17, with the final result published by June 30.
The initial advertisement for the 44th BCS was for 1,710 posts across various cadres. This includes:
- Administration: 250 posts
- Police: 50 posts
- Foreign Affairs: 10 posts
- Education: 776 posts
- Technical Cadres: 485 posts
- Other Cadres: 139 posts
A total of 350,716 candidates applied for the 44th BCS examination, making it a highly competitive process. Candidates are advised to check the official BPSC website for the final results.
