The result for the admission test of the ‘B’ unit for the 2024-25 academic year at Chittagong University (CU) has been released. The results were published late at night on Sunday, March 16, 2025. The university’s verified Facebook page and website made the announcement.
A total of 20.24 percent of the students who appeared in the examination have passed. This means 12,656 students have successfully qualified. However, the failure rate is quite high, at 79.76 percent.
Professor Dr. Md. Iqbal Shaheen Khan confirmed this. He is the coordinator of the ‘B’ unit admission test and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
The ‘B’ unit is under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. There are 1,221 seats available in this unit. Against these seats, 73,171 students had applied. Out of these, 62,525 students were present for the admission test at three different centers. These centers were in Dhaka, Chittagong, and Rajshahi. Among the attendees, 12,656 students have passed.

It is important to note that the ‘B’ unit admission test took place on Saturday, March 8, 2025. For the 4,926 total seats at Chittagong University, 271,239 students applied this year.
The next admission test is for the ‘D’ unit, which is under the Faculty of Social Sciences. This test will be held on March 22, 2025. Following this, the admission test for the ‘D-1’ sub-unit will take place on March 24, 2025. This test will be held at the Chittagong University campus. This will conclude the admission tests for the 2024-25 academic year at Chittagong University.
