Dhaka, Bangladesh – August 20, 2025 – The results of the first phase of the XI Class admission for the 2025-26 academic session were published this evening, bringing an end to the anxious wait for over a million students and their guardians. The results were made available on the centralized admission system website at 6:30 PM on Wednesday.
Professor Md. Rezaul Haque, the College Inspector of the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, confirmed the publication of the results to The Daily Campus. Students can now view their results by logging into the official admission website, https://www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd/, using their user ID and password. Additionally, results are being sent to the mobile numbers provided by the applicants via SMS.
This year, a total of 1,073,336 students applied for admission in the first phase, which ran from July 30 to August 15. The applications followed the announcement of the SSC and equivalent examination results on July 10, where 1,303,426 students initially passed. Following a re-scrutiny process, an additional 4,792 students passed, bringing the total number of eligible candidates to 1,308,218. With approximately 2.5 million seats available in colleges across the country, education officials are optimistic that every student who passed will have the opportunity to secure a seat.
Securing Admission: The Confirmation Process
Students who have been allocated a college in this first phase must confirm their admission by paying a confirmation fee of BDT 335. The admission website has outlined several mobile financial services for this payment, including bKash, Sonali e-Seba, Sonali Web, UCB Upay, DBBL Rocket, One Bank OK Wallet, Trust Bank TAP, and Nagad. Detailed instructions for the payment process are available on the website.
Failure to confirm the admission within the stipulated time will result in the cancellation of the student’s allocation, and they will have to re-apply in the subsequent phases.
What’s Next: Second Phase and Migration
For students who did not get a college of their choice or were not selected in the first phase, there will be a second phase of applications. The second phase is expected to commence after the confirmation period for the first phase ends. The results of the second phase will also include the results of students who have applied for migration. Migration allows students to move to a college of higher preference on their list if seats become available.
The admission process is being conducted entirely online to ensure transparency and ease for the applicants. The government has also fixed the admission fees for colleges to prevent any irregularities.
Students and guardians are advised to regularly check the official admission website for updates and instructions regarding the next steps in the admission process. The commencement of classes for the 2025-26 academic session is scheduled to be announced by the Ministry of Education in due course.
