SSC Exam 2025 Start Thursday Under Revised Schedule

The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations for 2025 began across Bangladesh today, Thursday, April 10, 2025. This year, a total of 1,928,181 students were registered to participate in the SSC, Dakhil, SSC (Vocational), and Dakhil (Vocational) examinations. This number marks a decrease of approximately one lakh examinees compared to the previous year. In 2024, the total number of candidates was 2,024,192.

On the first day of the examinations, held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, a total of 26,928 registered candidates were absent across the country, according to information released by the Ministry of Education’s Secondary and Higher Education Division Control Room.   • Bangladesh Technical Education Board: In the SSC (Vocational) and Dakhil (Vocational) exams, 128,669 out of 131,236 registered students took part, leaving 2,567 absent. Two candidates were expelled under this board.

Revised Schedule

The examination schedule has been recently revised. Notably, the Mathematics examination has been postponed and will now take place on April 21, 2025.

  • Written exams commenced on April 10 with the Bangla first paper.
  • Written exams will conclude on May 13, 2025, with the Bangla second paper (and Easy Bangla second paper).
