Dhaka, March 24: Many students who were initially selected for MBBS courses in private medical colleges for the 2024-25 academic year did not confirm their admission within the given time. Due to these vacant seats, a new list of 827 students from the waiting list has been published.
The Health Education Directorate announced this through a notification. It stated that the first list of provisionally selected students for private medical colleges was released on March 17, 2025. The last date for the first phase of confirmation was March 19.
As several seats remained empty, the authorities have now released a college-wise list of 827 students from the waiting list. These students have been provisionally selected for admission.
These newly selected students must complete their second phase of admission confirmation by tomorrow, Tuesday, March 25. If any student fails to confirm their allocated seat by this deadline, the seat will be considered vacant.
The notification clearly mentioned that students who do not confirm their admission within this second deadline will not be considered for admission to any other private medical college later.
However, students who have already completed the first phase of confirmation do not need to go through this second phase.
The detailed list of selected students and the confirmation process are available on the website of the Health Education Directorate.
This second chance provides an opportunity for students on the waiting list to secure a spot in their desired private medical colleges for the upcoming academic year. Students are advised to complete the confirmation process within the stipulated time to avoid missing out on this opportunity. The authorities have urged everyone to take note of the deadline and complete the necessary steps promptly.
