Dhaka, Bangladesh – The online application process for the Primary Teacher Transfer 2025 has started. This is good news for primary school teachers in Bangladesh. They can now apply to be transferred to schools in their home sub-districts or upazilas.
The online application process began on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. It will continue until Thursday, February 27, 2025. This short application window means teachers need to apply quickly if they wish to transfer.
This transfer opportunity is mainly for assistant teachers in government primary schools. It is especially for teachers who were posted to schools outside their home sub-districts because there were no empty positions in their own areas. These teachers will be given priority for transfer to their home sub-districts. This priority is in line with the 2023 online transfer guidelines.
The Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) has sent a letter with instructions to all head teachers and relevant officials. The official guidelines for this transfer process were issued on Sunday by the DPE.
Application Timeline:
- February 25-27: Assistant teachers will submit their applications online.
- February 28: Head teachers will check and verify the applications of the assistant teachers.
- March 1: Assistant Upazila/Thana Primary Education Officers will complete the final verification process.
Important Conditions for Application:
- When applying, teachers can choose up to three schools. They should list these schools in their order of preference. If a teacher does not want to choose three schools, they can choose just one or two. Once a transfer order is issued based on the application, it cannot be canceled later. No further requests to cancel the transfer will be accepted.
- Officials who are responsible for checking the applications will follow the latest guidelines. These are the ‘Integrated Online Transfer Guidelines (Amended) 2023’. These guidelines were issued by the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education on October 20, 2023. Verifying officers must check the applications and all related documents very carefully according to these guidelines.
- Verifying officers are asked to be very careful when checking the information and documents attached to the applications. Once they have verified and sent the applications for further processing, requests for reconsideration will not be accepted.
The official notice also stated that getting a transfer to a preferred school is not guaranteed just by applying. If there are many applicants for a limited number of places, a software system will automatically select the most যোগ্য or eligible applicants. This system is designed to be fair and transparent, and there is no possibility for manual interference in the selection process.
This online transfer process aims to make it easier for primary teachers to work closer to their homes. Teachers are encouraged to apply within the given timeframe and follow all instructions carefully.
