NU Release Slip Result 2025 for First Year Honours Admission Published

The results for the first release slip of the National University’s (NU) 2024-25 academic year for the first-year Bachelor (Honours) program are being published today, Monday, at 4:00 PM. This announcement brings anticipation to a close for thousands of students seeking admission into their desired colleges.

Aspiring students can access their results via two methods. From 4:00 PM onwards, the results will be available through SMS. To receive the result, applicants must type nu<space>athn<space>roll no and send it to 16222. The results will also be accessible on the university’s admission website (www.nu.ac.bd/admissions) starting from 9:00 PM tonight.

This information was confirmed in a notice signed by Dr. Md. Ashek Kabir Chowdhury, the acting Dean of the School of Undergraduate Education at the National University.

The official notice further states that any applicant who has secured a place in the first release slip merit list and is already admitted to any academic program from the 2020-2024 academic year must cancel their previous admission by September 23, 2025. Following the cancellation, they must complete the final admission form online. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their admission and registration for the 2024-25 academic year due to dual enrollment.

It is also important for the selected candidates to note that there will be no opportunity for subject changes for those who have been allocated a subject in the first release slip merit list.

Understanding the Release Slip

The release slip is a crucial component of the admission process for undergraduate (Honours) programs at the National University and similar educational institutions. It provides a second chance for students who were not initially placed, did not accept their initial placement, or cancelled their admission. Through the release slip, these students can apply to a maximum of five different colleges, selecting their preferred subjects, thereby getting a final opportunity for admission.
