Gaziapur: National University (NU) has announced an extension for the Masters Admission (Regular Program) application for the 2022-2023 academic year.
Deadline Updates
- The deadline for submitting the online primary application has been extended to April 21, 2025, at 12:00 AM (midnight). The online application process initially started on March 18, 2025.
- The last date for submitting the application fee to the respective college (via designated mobile banking or directly) is now April 22, 2025.
- Classes for admitted students are now scheduled to begin on May 26, 2025.
How to Apply
Candidates interested in applying for NU Masters Admission must fill out an online primary application form available on the National University admissions website (www.nu.ac.bd/admissions). After completing the form, applicants must pay the primary application fee of 300 Taka. Payment can be made through mobile banking as specified by the college, or directly to the college by the new deadline of April 22, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Masters program, students must have specific qualifications:
- Students who passed the four-year Bachelor (Honours) exam between 2018 and 2022 with a minimum of 45% marks or a CGPA of 2.25 can apply.
- Students who passed the Preliminary to Masters (Regular)/1st Part Masters (Regular) exam between 2018 and 2021 with a minimum of 45% marks or a GPA of 2.25 can also apply, provided they also have a minimum of 45% marks or a CGPA of 2.25 in the three-year Bachelor (Pass) Regular exam.
Important Information for Applicants
- Students who passed the four-year Bachelor (Honours) exam cannot apply if they have already completed a Masters.
- Students who passed the one-year Preliminary to Masters (Private)/1st Part Masters (Private) exam cannot apply for the Regular Masters program.
- Applicants must have passed Bachelor (Honours) or Preliminary to Masters (Regular)/1st Part Masters (Regular) exams in the subject they wish to apply for.
- Students who have already passed Masters (Regular/Private) or are currently enrolled in any program under the National University cannot apply.
- Applicants must upload a signed declaration stating they are not currently admitted to any program at National University or any other university.
- Providing false information or uploading an incorrect photo will result in admission cancellation.

Here are the important updated dates for the NU Masters Admission 2025 process based on the latest notice:
- Online primary application form fill-up and print/PDF collection: March 18, 2025, to April 21, 2025 (extended).
- Submission of primary application form and application fee (300 Taka) to the college: March 19, 2025, to April 22, 2025 (extended).
- College confirmation of primary application form online: Dates may be adjusted following the extension. Applicants should check the NU admission website or contact their college for confirmation timelines.
- Colleges to submit the primary application fee to Sonali Bank: Dates may be adjusted. Colleges should follow NU guidelines.
- Classes for the admitted students will begin on: May 26, 2025 (updated).
Admission Process
The admission process for the 2022-2023 Masters (Regular) program is merit-based, determined by marks/CGPA in Bachelor (Honours) or Bachelor (Pass) including Preliminary to Masters (Regular)/1st Part Masters (Regular) exams. Priority is given to younger applicants in case of ties and to applicants applying to the same college where they completed their prerequisite degree. Results will be published in phases (merit list, quota, release slip).
Instructions for Filling Up the Primary Application Form
- Go to the Masters Tab and click Apply Now (Masters Reg.).
- Enter exam roll, registration number, passing year, mobile number, and email.
- Upload the signed declaration.
- Enter correct gender.
- Select desired college, district, and subject.
- Select quota if applicable.
- Upload a recent passport-size photo (120×150 pixels, JPG, max 50KB).
- Submit the application.
- Download and print the form.
- Check for errors (use Form Cancel/Photo Change option if needed – only one cancellation allowed).
- Sign the printed form and submit it to the college with documents and the fee.
Important Notes
- Wait for SMS confirmation from the college after online confirmation. Contact the college if no SMS is received within the specified time.
- Dual enrollment (Masters Regular/Private or Masters Professional) will lead to cancellation.
- Cancelled admission cannot be reinstated during the process.
- Applicants not placed on the merit list or who cancel can apply for a release slip.
Responsibilities of College Authorities
Colleges handle online confirmation using their login and OTP, collect fees, verify information, and deposit the university’s share of fees (200 Taka application fee share + 835 Taka registration fee per admitted student) to Sonali Bank according to NU guidelines.
