Directorate General of Health Education (DGME) has published the first migration list for MBBS admission in government medical colleges for the academic year 2024-25.
The results were released on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. A total of 173 students from the waiting list have been initially selected for admission. This selection is for vacant seats in government medical colleges after the first phase of automatic migration.
These students were chosen based on their merit, college preferences, and the availability of seats. The migration process is automatic. It allows students from the waiting list to be considered for vacant seats.
Important Dates for Migrated Students
- Admission Deadline: Students who have been migrated to a new medical college must complete their admission between Thursday, March 6, 2025, and Tuesday, March 12, 2025.
- Consequences of Missing Deadline: Students who fail to complete their admission within this period will have their studentship cancelled from both their previous and migrated colleges.
How to Check Migration Results
Students can check their migration results on the following official websites:
- Directorate General of Health Education (DGME): www.dgme.gov.bd
- Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS): www.dghs.gov.bd
In addition to the websites, selected students will also receive an SMS notification from Teletalk through the number 01550-155555.
Instructions for Medical Colleges
- Medical colleges are requested to send the documents of the migrated students to their respective new colleges by Saturday, March 8, 2025.
- Colleges are also required to submit the full admission list and information on any vacant seats. This should be sent in both soft copy (via email) and hard copy. The deadline for this submission is Wednesday, March 13, 2025. The hard copy should be sent to the Director, Medical Education Branch, at the old building of the Directorate of Health.
Second Phase Migration
For students who are already admitted, the second phase of online migration is open until March 12, 2025. Medical college principals are required to forward the information for the second migration of their students to the Teletalk web portal by 12:00 PM on March 13, 2025.
