According to the previous schedule, the last date for admission for first-time selected students was February 8th. This was then extended to February 15th. Now, the deadline has been extended once more to February 24th, 2025.

The DGME notice stated that, following the decision of the MBBS admission committee meeting on February 11, 2025, the admission deadline for the MBBS course in government medical colleges for the 2024-25 session has been extended until office hours on February 24, 2025.

This year, there are a total of 5,380 seats available in medical colleges across the country, including quota seats. Bangladesh has 110 medical colleges, with 37 being government and 67 private. In addition, there is one Armed Forces Medical College and five private Army Medical Colleges. Admission to government medical colleges is based on merit.
