Savar, Dhaka – Many seats are still open at Jahangirnagar University (JU) after the first phase of admissions for the 2024-2025 academic year. A total of 773 seats remain vacant across various departments. This information was released by the university’s Deputy Registrar, Syed Mohammad Ali Reza.
The university published these details on its admission website. According to the notice, 399 seats for male students and 274 seats for female students are currently empty. This creates new chances for students who are on waiting lists.
The Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, under the ‘A’ unit, has the highest number of empty seats. In this unit, 98 seats for boys and 85 seats for girls are still available.
The admission tests for the 2024-2025 session at JU took place earlier this year. The application process started in January 2025. The tests for different units were held in February 2025. Many students across Bangladesh applied for a chance to study at this popular public university.
