Dhaka, Bangladesh – April 16, 2025: Jahangirnagar University (JU) has released the first merit list for several units. This list is for undergraduate admission for the 2024-2025 academic year. The university published the list on its official website today, Wednesday, April 16th. This is a key update for the JU Admission 2025 process.
The first merit list includes successful candidates for five units.
- ‘A’ Unit (Mathematical and Physical Sciences Faculty): 426 students are on the list.
- ‘B’ Unit (Social Sciences Faculty): 326 students are selected.
- ‘C’ Unit (Arts and Humanities Faculty): 310 students made the list.
- ‘E’ Unit (Business Studies Faculty): 200 students are included.
- ‘IBA-JU’ (Institute of Business Administration): 50 students are on the first list.
This follows the earlier release of results for some units. The results for ‘D’ Unit (Biology Faculty), ‘E’ Unit, and ‘IBA-JU’ were published back on February 12th.
Information from the ‘D’ unit results showed pass rates. For female students, the pass rate was 44.22 percent. Out of 39,968 female students who took the test, 17,664 passed. For male students, the pass rate was 41.70 percent. Out of 33,649 male students who appeared, 14,004 passed.
For the Institute of Business Administration (IBA-JU), the pass rate was 28.54 percent for male students. It was 23.66 percent for female students. The average attendance for the IBA admission test was reported at 73 percent.
