JNU Admission Test 2025: Science Faculty Exam Completed

Dhaka, February 22, 2025 – The admission test for the Science Faculty (‘A’ Unit) of Jagannath University (JNU) for the academic year 2024-25 has been successfully conducted. The test took place on Saturday, February 22, 2025.

The ‘A’ unit exam was held in three shifts starting from 10:00 AM and continued until 5:30 PM. A total of 44,223 students applied for the 860 available seats in the Science Faculty. Out of these, 31,042 students participated in the exam, representing a 70.20% attendance rate.

The first shift of the exam started at 10:00 AM and continued until 11:00 AM. In this shift, out of 14,741 registered students, 10,228 students were present (69.38%). The second shift was held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. It saw an attendance of 70.52%, with 10,228 students present out of 14,742 applicants. The third and final shift for the ‘A’ unit exam was held from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, delayed by 30 minutes from the original schedule. In this shift, 10,418 students were present out of 14,740, showing a 70.68% attendance.

This year, Jagannath University is conducting its admission tests independently after a gap of four years, moving away from the GST (cluster) admission system used by 24 universities.

The admission test for the 2024-25 session began on January 31, 2025, with the ‘E’ unit exam for the Faculty of Fine Arts. Other unit exams have also been conducted: ‘D’ unit for Social Sciences on February 14, and ‘B’ unit for Arts & Law on February 15. The admission test schedule will conclude with the ‘C’ unit exam for the Business Studies Faculty on February 28, 2025.

University Vice-Chancellor Professor Md Rezaul Karim has announced that the results of the admission tests will be published shift-wise.

This year, Jagannath University is not allowing second-time applicants for admissions.
