JNU A Unit Result 2025 Published Today

Dhaka, Bangladesh – The results for the admission test for the ‘A’ Unit of Jagannath University (JNU) for the academic year 2024-2025 have been published today, Sunday, March 23, 2025. The ‘A’ Unit exam is for the Faculty of Science and Life and Earth Sciences. The test took place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in three shifts throughout the day.

The first shift of the exam commenced at 10:30 AM and continued until 11:30 AM. The second shift was held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and the final shift took place from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

University authorities showed flexibility by allowing latecomers to participate in the second shift exam. Students who arrived up to 20 minutes after the scheduled start time were permitted to sit for the test. However, the evaluation of these late candidates’ answer sheets will be decided after a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor, according to Professor Dr. Mallick Akram Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Life and Earth Sciences.

A notable candidate, Mustakin, who is two feet tall, also appeared for the ‘A’ unit admission test in the third shift. Despite his physical stature, 20-year-old Mustakin is determined to pursue higher education at Jagannath University. He expressed his lifelong dream of studying and establishing himself through education.

This year, a total of 44,223 students competed for 860 available seats in the ‘A’ Unit. The total number of seats is divided into three shifts: 284 seats in the first shift, 287 seats in the second shift, and 289 seats in the third shift. This means that approximately 51 students were vying for each seat.

The admission test was out of 100 marks. 72 marks were allocated to Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and written exams. The MCQ section carried 24 marks, while the written section held 48 marks. The remaining 28 marks will be calculated based on the Grade Point Average (GPA) obtained in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) examinations (12 marks for SSC GPA and 16 marks for HSC GPA).

Result Published

The results for the JNU ‘A’ Unit exam have been officially published today, Sunday, March 23, 2025, in the evening. Candidates can now check their individual results by logging in to their respective portals on the Jagannath University admission website.

Subject Choice Period Announced

The university administration has also announced the schedule for subject choice. Successful candidates will be able to select their preferred subjects online by logging into the admission website between April 8, 2025, and April 17, 2025.
