DU C Unit Admission Test 2025 Re-Test Results Published

Dhaka, Bangladesh– The results of the re-conducted Dhaka University (DU) Business Studies Unit (C Unit) admission test for the 2024-2025 academic year were published on Sunday, May 25, 2025. This development brings a much-anticipated resolution to weeks of uncertainty following controversies surrounding the initial examination. The re-test, specifically for the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) portion, was held on May 17, 2025.

The journey to these results began after the initial DU C Unit Admission Test 2025 took place on February 8, 2025. Approximately 41,000 students participated in that examination, vying for 1,050 available seats in the prestigious Business Studies faculty. However, following the test, a number of participating students raised objections, claiming significant errors in the MCQ section of the question paper.

These student complaints led to a formal writ petition filed with the High Court, demanding the cancellation of the initial admission test and a fresh examination. On March 19, 2025, a High Court bench, after a preliminary hearing, ordered a two-month suspension on the publication of the original test results and issued a rule questioning why the test should not be annulled.

In response to the controversy and the court’s directive, Dhaka University’s central admission committee held meetings, including a special session on March 23, 2025, to address the issue. Subsequently, the university authorities sought and received permission from the High Court to conduct a re-test for the MCQ portion of the DU C Unit Admission Test 2025. This re-examination was specifically for students from the Business Studies stream who had appeared in the February 8 test.

The re-test on May 17 proceeded as planned, and with the publication of its results on May 25, the impasse in the admission process for the Business Studies Unit has ended. Aspiring students can now learn their fate, and the university can move forward with the admission procedures for the 1,050 seats.

For the 2024-25 academic year, Dhaka University has a total of 6,010 seats across its five units, with approximately 329,000 students having applied for admission across all units. The university administration had consistently stated its commitment to resolving the C Unit issue swiftly and in accordance with legal directives. The publication of the re-test results marks a significant step towards normalizing the admission cycle for the affected students.
