Dhaka, Bangladesh – The DU Admission Result C Unit 2025 for the re-examination of the undergraduate program for the 2024-25 academic year at Dhaka University (DU) was published on Sunday, May 25, 2025. Students who participated in the re-held admission test for the Business Studies Unit (C Unit) can now access their results.
The journey to this result publication was marked by complications. The initial admission test for the Business Studies Unit was held on February 8, 2025. Following the exam, numerous students and their guardians raised complaints regarding significant inconsistencies and errors in the MCQ section of the question papers. These concerns led to demands for a re-examination to ensure a fair evaluation.
In response to the discrepancies, Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan had previously assured that there was no question paper leak and that an expert committee was diligently working to resolve the issues with the students’ best interests at heart. Professor Dr. Mahmud Osman Imam, the Head Coordinator of the Business Studies Unit, also acknowledged the errors, explaining that in some MCQ sets, one set was mistakenly replaced with another, causing incorrect question ordering and repetition of questions in sections like English and Accounting.
The university initially faced challenges in setting a publication date for the original test results due to these complexities. The situation escalated when some admission seekers filed a writ petition, leading to a High Court stay on the result publication of the February 8th exam. Subsequently, the university authorities decided to conduct a re-examination for the MCQ portion of the C Unit admission test, which took place on May 17, 2025.
The publication of the DU Admission Result C Unit 2025 on May 25th pertains to this re-examination. The university had worked with experts to address the inconsistencies fairly and transparently, prioritizing the students’ welfare throughout the process.
While the C Unit result timeline was extended due to these exceptional circumstances, the results for other units had been published earlier in the year. The results for the Arts, Law, and Social Science unit admission tests were published between February 25 and 27, and the Science unit result was released between March 15 and 17, generally aligning with DU’s typical practice of publishing admission test results within one month of the exam.
Students who are not satisfied with their re-examination results will have the opportunity to apply for re-evaluation following the proper procedures outlined by the university. Dhaka University has expressed its sincere apologies for the unintentional mistakes in the initial examination.
