General Information About the Admission Test
- The admission test for BDS courses for the academic year 2024-2025 took place on Friday, February 28, 2025.
- A total of 68,684 candidates applied for the admission test, competing for 545 available seats in government and private dental colleges and dental units of medical colleges.
- The admission test consisted of a written examination with 100 marks (1 mark per MCQ) covering subjects: Biology (30), Chemistry (25), Physics (20), English (15), and General Knowledge (Bangladesh & International Affairs) (10).
- The duration of the written exam was 1 hour, with a negative marking of 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer.
- The minimum qualifying mark in the written examination was 40.
- The merit list determination also includes 100 marks for GPA score (GPA from SSC/equivalent exam x 10 = 50 marks (maximum) and GPA from HSC/equivalent exam x 10 = 50 marks (maximum)).
