Chittagong University (CU) B Unit Seat Plan 2025 Released

The CU B Unit seat plan for the 2024-25 academic year has been released on March 6, 2025. You can find the seat plan on the CU admission website. The admission test for the A Unit is scheduled for March 8, 2025.

The Chittagong University (CU) admission test for the 2024-25 session is set to begin on Saturday, March 1, 2025, with the first test for A Unit (Science group).

This year, CU admission tests will be conducted in Chittagong, Dhaka, and Rajshahi. The university has finalized all preparations for the examinations.

For the A Unit (Science group), there is strong competition, with approximately 89 students vying for each available seat. This information has been confirmed by Professor Dr. Mohammad Al Amin, Dean of the Science Faculty.

Number of Applicants for Each Unit

  • A Unit (Science): 109,081 applicants for 1,215 seats, meaning 89 students per seat.
  • B Unit (Arts & Humanities): 73,171 applicants.
  • C Unit (Business Administration): 21,393 applicants.
  • D Unit (Social Science): 60,522 applicants.
  • B-1 Sub-Unit: 1,911 applicants.
  • B-2 Sub-Unit: 3,670 applicants.
  • D-1 Sub-Unit: 1,491 applicants.

Test Centers and Student Distribution

  • Chittagong University Center: 23,097 students.
  • Dhaka University Center: 66,180 students.
  • Rajshahi University Center: 19,804 students.

Train Schedule (City to CU)

  • From Bottoli to CU: 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, 9:30 AM, 10:00 AM, 2:50 PM, 3:50 PM, 8:30 PM.
  • From CU to Bottoli: 8:15 AM, 8:45 AM, 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM, 4:00 PM, 5:30 PM, 9:30 PM.

Examination Schedule

  • Test Time for all units: 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM.
  • Reporting Time: Candidates are required to reach the test center by 10:00 AM.
  • OMR Sheet Distribution: 10:45 AM.
  • Question Paper Distribution: 11:15 AM.

Exam Details

  • Total Marks: Each unit test will be 100 marks, based on the MCQ system.
  • Negative Marking: For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. For C unit exams, 0.25 marks will be deducted for a 1-mark wrong answer, and 0.50 marks for a 2-mark wrong answer.
  • Second-time Students: 3 marks will be deducted for second-time examinees.
  • Minimum Pass Marks: The pass mark is 40 for all units.

  • A Unit: Science, Biology, Engineering, and Marine Sciences.
  • B Unit: Arts and Humanities.
  • B-1 Sub-Unit: Drama, Fine Arts, and Music.
  • B-2 Sub-Unit: Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Pali.
  • C Unit: Business Administration.
  • D Unit: Social Science, Law, Geography, and Psychology.
  • D-1 Sub-Unit: Physical Education.

Revised Test Dates for Each Unit

  • A Unit: March 1
  • B Unit: March 8
  • C Unit: March 15
  • D Unit: March 22
  • B-1 Sub-Unit: March 10
  • B-2 Sub-Unit: March 11
  • D-1 Sub-Unit: March 24 Sub-unit tests will be held at the CU campus.

This year, a total of 271,239 students have applied for the admission tests, compared to 254,669 last year.

Important Instructions for Examinees

  • Punctuality: Candidates must be seated by 11:15 AM and must present their admit card to enter the examination hall.
  • Photographs: No photographs are required to be brought to the exam hall.
  • Seat Plan: Candidates are advised to check their seat plan on the CU website: https://admission.cu.ac.bd. Log in to the portal and download your admit card to view the seat plan, which will be available 48 hours before the test.
  • Required Documents: Candidates must bring two copies of their admit card and the original HSC registration card.
  • Calculator Policy: Only basic calculators (Fx-100 or lower, without memory) are permitted for use in certain units. Calculators are not allowed for Unit B, B1, B2, and D1 tests.
  • Prohibited Items: Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, and Bluetooth devices are strictly prohibited in the exam hall.
  • Health Guidelines: Candidates are expected to adhere to health guidelines on the CU campus.
  • Guidelines for Guardians: It is advised that only one guardian accompany each student.
  • Complaint Submission: Any written complaints should be submitted to the unit coordinator before 10:15 AM on the test day. Complaints will not be entertained after 10:15 AM.
  • Beware of Rumors: Candidates are advised not to rely on social media rumors.
  • Action Against Disruptors: Legal measures will be taken against anyone found creating disturbances.
  • ID for Guardians: Guardians are advised to carry their National ID card.
