Comilla, Bangladesh – April 25, 2025: Comilla University (CoU) is holding its B Unit admission test today. This exam is for students wanting to study in the Humanities faculty. The test is for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The exam will start at 4:00 PM. It will end at 5:00 PM.
Competition for seats is very high this year. There are only 410 seats available in the B Unit. However, 23,793 students have applied to take the test. This means about 58 students are competing for every single seat.
This year, Comilla University decided to hold its own admission tests. It is not part of the Guchchho (cluster) admission system.
The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Haider Ali, confirmed this earlier. He stated that all preparations for the test are finished. He hopes the exam process will be smooth and fair.
The admission test will take place at 30 different centers. Some centers are on the university campus. Others are located in various educational institutions across Comilla city. University teachers will act as invigilators in all centers.
The university has given clear instructions to students.
- Officials will check students’ faces, ears, and eyes inside the exam hall. This is to prevent cheating.
- Students can enter the examination center starting one hour before the test (3:00 PM).
- They can enter the specific exam hall 30 minutes before the test begins (3:30 PM).
- No student will be allowed to enter the center after the test starts at 4:00 PM.
- Students cannot bring calculators, mobile phones, watches, or any electronic devices into the exam hall.
- Students can bring bags, but they must leave them in a designated corner of the hall.
The admission tests for A Unit (Science) and C Unit (Business Studies) were already held. These exams took place last week, on April 19th. Competition was also intense for those units. For A Unit, 32,658 students applied for 350 seats (about 93 per seat). For C Unit, 9,952 students applied for 240 seats (about 41 per seat).
Thousands of students are taking this important B Unit test today. They are hoping to secure a spot at Comilla University.
