BUTEX Admission 2025 test for the academic year 2024-25 was held today. The exam took place on Friday, March 7, 2025. The test started at 9:30 AM and finished at 11:30 AM.
The admission test was held in two centers. These centers were at Bangladesh Textile University (BUTEX) and BAF Shaheen College.
BUTEX Admission committee sources said that the attendance rate was about 86.5 percent.
Earlier, a list of 12,800 eligible candidates was published for the written exam. Among them, 9,273 students collected admit cards within the given time.
The admission test was for 200 marks. Professor Dr. Md. Julhas Uddin, Vice-Chancellor of the University, visited different exam halls.
This year, Bangladesh Textile University will enroll students in 640 seats across 11 departments.
The departments are:
- Yarn Engineering (80 seats)
- Fabric Engineering (80 seats)
- Wet Process Engineering (80 seats)
- Apparel Engineering (80 seats)
- Textile Engineering Management (80 seats)
- Textile Fashion & Design (40 seats)
- Industrial & Production Engineering (40 seats)
- Textile Machinery Design & Maintenance (40 seats)
- Dyes & Chemicals Engineering (40 seats)
- Environmental Science & Engineering (40 seats)
- Textile Materials Engineering (40 seats)
