BDS Admission Result 2025 Announced

The result for the BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) admission test of the academic year 2024-2025 has been released. The result was published today, March 2, 2025. The admission test was conducted on February 28, 2025.

A total of 518 students have been provisionally selected for admission. These students will be admitted into one government dental college and eight dental units of government medical colleges in the country.

Result Preparation and Selection

The BDS admission results were prepared according to the rules of the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMB&DC). The selection process considered scores from the admission test and GPA from SSC and HSC exams. Merit and student preferences were also important factors in the selection.

Important Information for Selected Candidates

  • Tribal Quota: Students who applied under the tribal quota must have their certificates checked by the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME). Their admission will be confirmed after this verification process.
  • Freedom Fighter Quota: The admission process for the 27 seats reserved for freedom fighters, martyred freedom fighters, and brave women is currently suspended. Further instructions regarding this quota will be announced later.
  • Admission Deadline: Students who are selected must complete their admission process between March 19, 2025, and March 24, 2025. Admissions must be completed during office hours.
  • Document Verification: Local admission committees and medical boards at the respective colleges will verify the original documents of the students. They will also conduct health check-ups.
  • Migration Option: After admission, students can apply for migration up to three times. This will be according to the existing migration rules.
  • Cancellation of Admission: If any false information is found in a student’s application, their admission will be cancelled. Legal actions may also be taken.

Process for Result Re-scrutiny

Students who want to re-evaluate their result can apply for re-scrutiny. The application period is from March 6, 2025, to March 9, 2025. To apply, students need to send an SMS through Teletalk and pay a non-refundable fee of BDT 1000.

How to Apply for Result Re-scrutiny via SMS:

  • First SMS: Type DGME<Space>RSC<Space>Roll No. and send to 16222. Example: DGME RSC 1116000
  • Second SMS: You will get a PIN in a reply SMS. To pay the fee, type DGME<Space>RSC<Space>YES<Space>PIN and send to 16222. Example: DGME RSC YES 3699
  • After successful payment, you will receive a confirmation SMS.

The decision of the admission test committee at the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) will be considered final regarding the re-scrutiny of results.

Documents Required During Admission

Selected students must bring the following original documents during admission:

  • BDS Admission Test 2024-2025 Admit Card.
  • HSC Registration Card.
  • Academic Transcript/Number sheet of SSC & HSC or equivalent exams.
  • Pass Certificate and Testimonial of SSC & HSC or equivalent exams.
  • Citizenship Certificate from City Corporation Mayor/Municipality Chairman/Union Parishad Chairman/Ward Commissioner.
  • Four recent passport-size attested color photographs.
  • Specific certificates are required for tribal candidates, depending on their district. Details are given in the original notice.

Notice for Private Dental College Admission

The admission notice for private dental colleges and dental units of medical colleges will be published later.

The central admission committee has the authority to make any necessary changes to the published results as per regulations.
