ATEO Seat Plan 2025 Published by BPSC

Dhaka, Bangladesh – The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has released the much-anticipated ATEO Seat Plan 2025 for the recruitment examination of Assistant Upazila/Thana Education Officer (ATEO). The release of the seat plan comes with the announcement of a rescheduled examination date, now set for Friday, September 12, 2025.

The selection test for the 10th-grade position under the Directorate of Primary Education was initially scheduled for September 6, 2025. However, the date was revised due to a conflict with the public holiday for Eid-e-Miladunnabi (SAW).

According to the PSC notification, the one-hour examination will be held from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM across 51 designated centers within Dhaka city. Candidates will be tested on a total of 100 marks. The detailed ATEO Seat Plan 2025, which allocates examination halls based on the candidates’ registration numbers, has been published on the official PSC website.

Important Instructions for Candidates

The PSC has issued a set of strict guidelines for all examinees to ensure a smooth and fair examination process. All candidates are required to be present at their respective examination halls between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. The main gates of the examination centers will be closed precisely at 3:00 PM, and no candidate will be permitted to enter thereafter.

Examinees must bring their admit card and a black ink ballpoint pen. A range of items are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall, including books, watches of any kind, mobile phones, calculators, electronic devices, bags, and any other communication gadgets.

The PSC has also specified that for each incorrect answer, 0.50 marks will be deducted from the total score. To ensure equitable opportunities, candidates with disabilities will be allotted an additional 10 minutes to complete the examination.

Admit cards can be downloaded from the official websites of the PSC (www.bpsc.gov.bd) and Teletalk Bangladesh Limited (http://bpsc.teletalk.com.bd). This recruitment examination is exclusively for departmental candidates.

A Protracted Recruitment Journey

The recruitment process for the 159 ATEO positions has been a lengthy one. The initial application window opened on June 26, 2023, but was abruptly suspended on July 30, 2023, just a day before the original deadline. A revised notification was subsequently issued in 2024, with the application period reopening on July 1. The deadline for applications was extended multiple times, first to July 25, then to August 8, and finally to August 22, 2024. The application fee for the position was 500 Taka.
