Dhaka, June 4, 2025 – The Agricultural University Admission 2025 process for the 2024-25 academic session is moving forward. The Central Admission Committee for the Agriculture Cluster has released key updates. Dr. Md. Helal Uddin, Member Secretary and Acting Registrar of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), shared the details in a notice on June 3, 2025. The notice covers the fourth waiting list, auto-migration, and final admission steps for nine public agricultural universities in Bangladesh.
Fourth Waiting List Announcement
The fourth auto-migration process is complete. The fourth waiting list results will be published on June 5, 2025. These results will include university and subject allocations based on merit. Candidates on this list must act quickly to secure their seats. They need to pay a non-refundable fee of BDT 10,000 online between June 6 and June 12, 2025. This payment completes the initial admission step.
Final Admission for Fourth Waiting List
Candidates who complete the initial admission must visit their allocated university on June 18, 2025. They must bring original transcripts, certificates, and quota documents (if applicable). The BDT 10,000 paid earlier will be adjusted with the total admission fees. Failing to complete this step will cancel the admission. Candidates must follow the instructions carefully to avoid issues.
Fifth Waiting List for Vacant Seats
If seats remain vacant after the fourth waiting list admissions, a fifth waiting list will be published. The results for this list will be announced on June 20, 2025. Candidates on the fifth waiting list must visit booths set up at Bangladesh Agricultural University on June 22, 2025. They need to submit original transcripts, certificates, quota documents (if applicable), and pay the required fees. This step will finalize their admission.
Cluster System and Universities
The Agricultural University Admission 2025 follows a cluster system. Nine public universities participate in this system. These are:
- Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh – 1,116 seats
- Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur – 435 seats
- Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka – 705 seats
- Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University – 275 seats
- Sylhet Agricultural University – 580 seats
- Patuakhali Science and Technology University – 423 seats
- Khulna Agricultural University – 150 seats
- Habiganj Agricultural University – 99 seats
- Kurigram Agricultural University
A total of 3,863 seats are available. Around 94,020 students applied, making the competition tough. The cluster system allows students to apply to all universities through one platform, acas.edu.bd.
Admission Test and Results
The admission test took place on April 12, 2025. It was an MCQ-based exam worth 100 marks. The total merit score is 150 marks, with 50 marks from SSC and HSC results (25 marks each). The results were announced on April 15, 2025, earlier than the planned date of April 17. Merit and waiting lists are available in PDF format on acas.edu.bd. Students can also check results by logging in with their PIN and password.
Auto-Migration Process
The cluster system uses auto-migration to allocate seats. This system moves candidates to their higher-preferred university or subject if seats become available. Three auto-migration rounds were completed earlier. The fourth auto-migration has now been finalized. Candidates can stop auto-migration after paying the BDT 10,000 fee if they are satisfied with their allocation. Once stopped, auto-migration cannot be restarted.
Next Steps for Candidates
Candidates must regularly check acas.edu.bd for updates. The website provides all admission-related information, including circulars, results, and instructions. Those on the waiting lists should stay alert for SMS notifications. Missing deadlines or failing to submit documents will lead to cancellation of admission. Universities will announce class start dates later.
