Dhaka, Bangladesh – The DU C Unit Result 2025 for the re-admission test of Dhaka University’s Business Studies Unit (Undergraduate Program) for the 2024-25 academic year was published on Sunday, May 25th. The much-anticipated results brought an end to a period of uncertainty for the aspiring students.
Professor Dr. Mahmud Osman Imam, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies and Chief Coordinator of the Undergraduate Program, had earlier indicated on Saturday (May 24th) that efforts were underway to release the results promptly. He had also emphasized the need to “complete the subject choice process before Eid,” signaling the next steps for the qualified candidates.
The journey to the publication of this year’s DU C Unit Result 2025 was marked by a re-examination. Initially, errors were discovered in 12 multiple-choice questions (MCQ) in the exam held on February 8th. This led some admission seekers to file a writ petition in court against the publication of the results on April 20th, as the errors could not be immediately resolved.
Consequently, the High Court issued a two-month stay order on the publication of the exam results. Following this, the university’s general admission committee decided in a special meeting on March 23rd to retake the MCQ part of the exam and sought permission from the court.
The decision for a re-examination was finalized due to the errors in the original question paper, following the court order. This was formally decided in a special meeting of the university’s online admission committee on April 16th.
The university clarified that the re-admission test for the 2024-25 academic year would solely be for the MCQ part. As per the court’s directive, only students from the Business Studies group in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) were eligible to participate. This re-examination was subsequently held on May 17th at 3 PM, with only students from the Business Studies stream at the higher secondary level taking part. The successful publication of the DU C Unit Result 2025 now paves the way for these students to proceed with their admission process.
