The Dakhil Examination for 2025 under the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board is set to start on April 10, 2025. This year, the number of examinees has significantly increased. Approximately 295,726 students will participate in the Dakhil Exam 2025.
Professor Mia Md. Nurul Haque, Chairman of the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board, confirmed this information to The Daily Campus. He mentioned that student interest in Madrasah education is growing again. Over the past 15 years, interest in Madrasah education had declined due to various reasons. However, this trend is now reversing.
Compared to last year, there is a notable increase in the number of examinees. In the Dakhil Exam of 2024, 242,314 students participated. This year, the number has increased by 53,413.
The routine for the Dakhil Exam 2025 was released on December 12, 2024. The theoretical exams will commence on April 10 and continue until May 12. Exams will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM as per the schedule. Practical examinations for Dakhil will be conducted between May 14 and May 18.
After several years of exams based on a revised syllabus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Dakhil Exam 2025 will return to a full syllabus. The exam will also be conducted with full marks and for the complete duration.
In the previous year’s results, the Madrasah Education Board achieved a pass rate of 79.66 percent. A total of 14,206 students achieved GPA-5 in the examination.
Important Instructions for Examinees:
The Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board has issued specific guidelines for all examinees:
- Reporting Time: Students must be seated in the examination hall 30 minutes before the exam starts. They must take the exam according to the time stated on the question paper.
- Exam Format: The exam will begin with the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) section. After that, the Creative or Essay/Descriptive (theoretical) exam will take place. There will be no break between these two parts of the exam.
- Admit Card Collection: Students must collect their admit cards from their respective institution heads at least three days before the examination begins.
- OMR Form: Examinees must accurately fill in their roll number, registration number, subject code, etc., on the OMR form of their answer sheets and properly fill in the circles. Answer sheets must not be folded under any circumstances.
- Practical & Continuous Assessment Marks: For Physical Education, Health Science and Sports, and Career Education subjects, educational institutions will provide the marks obtained through continuous assessment as per NCTB guidelines to the respective centers. The center authorities will then send these marks along with the practical exam marks online to the board’s website.
- Separate Pass Marks: Students must pass separately in the Creative or Essay/Descriptive (theoretical), MCQ, and practical sections of the examination.
- Subject Restrictions: Each examinee can only participate in the subjects mentioned on their registration card. Under no circumstances can they participate in exams for different subjects.
- Exam Center Allocation: Exams (theoretical, MCQ, and practical) for any examinee will not be held at their own school/institution. Seating arrangements will be made through center changes.
- Calculator Usage: Examinees will be allowed to use সাধারণ (general) scientific calculators in the examination.
- Mobile Phone Ban: Except for the center secretary, no other person or examinee is allowed to bring or use mobile phones in the examination center.
- Attendance Sheet: The same attendance sheet must be used for student attendance in the Creative/Essay/Descriptive (theoretical), MCQ, and practical exams. Practical exams will be held at their respective centers/venues.
- Result Re-evaluation: Applications for re-evaluation of results can be made online via SMS within seven days of the publication of the exam results.
