Rajshahi, Bangladesh – [March 7, 2025] – The subject choice for the first-year Bachelor’s degree admission of the 2024-25 academic year at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) is set to commence online tomorrow, Saturday, March 8th.
According to a notice signed by Professor Dr. Rabiul Islam, President of the First Year Bachelor Admission Test Committee, students who have secured a position on the merit list of the admission test can participate in the subject selection process.
The online subject choice will begin at 10:00 AM tomorrow, March 8th. Eligible students are requested to submit their subject preferences online through the RUET admission website: https://admission.ruet.ac.bd/.
To complete the subject choice process, students need to log in to the Admission Portal on the website and fill out the “Online Choice Form“. It is important for candidates to provide accurate information and carefully select their preferred departments.
For the engineering departments and the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, students must provide a preference list with 13 choices. However, students admitted to the Department of Architecture do not need to submit any subject choices.
The online subject choice submission and modification window will be open from March 8th (Saturday) 10:00 AM to March 15th (Friday) 11:59 PM. Students can change their preferences as many times as needed within this timeframe.
In special cases, students may be allowed to change their subject choices on the day of admission. This will require approval from the admission committee and can be done at the designated booths on the admission day.
The notice further details the next steps in the admission process. Candidates selected for the first phase of admission are required to be physically present at the Board on March 19th. On this day, a verification committee will check and collect the candidates’ academic documents. Following document submission, a health examination will also be conducted on the same day, March 19th.
The department allocation will be published on March 20th (Thursday) at 10:00 AM. Students must then confirm their admission by paying the admission fee of BDT 18,500 (Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Taka only) at the Rupali Bank PLC, RUET branch. The deadline for fee payment is 2:00 PM on March 20th. Under special circumstances and with prior approval from the authorities, students may be allowed to pay the admission fee on the same day after completing all admission procedures.
