Dhaka, Bangladesh – June 2, 2025 – The National University (NU) Honours admission test for the 2024-2025 academic year was successfully held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM across 879 centers in 64 district towns. Over 550,000 students participated in the MCQ-based examination, vying for a place in the university’s affiliated colleges.
The NU Admission Result 2025 will now be published after the Eid-ul-Azha holidays, university authorities have confirmed. The decision to delay the result publication stems from the commencement of the university holidays from Sunday and the extensive number of examinees.
University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A S M Amanullah stated to The Bangladesh Affairs, “The National University’s admission test results will be published after Eid. The university has been closed from Sunday. Besides, the number of candidates is more than 5 lakh. Considering everything, the decision has been taken to publish the results after Eid.”
This year marks a significant shift as the National University has reintroduced the admission test system for student enrollment after an eight-year period. Previously, from the 2015-16 academic year, students were admitted based on their SSC and HSC GPAs. The admission test system was last in place for the 2014-15 academic year.
The 100-mark MCQ examination had a duration of one hour. The pass mark for the test is set at 35, and notably, there will be no deduction of marks for incorrect answers. The final merit list for the NU Admission Result 2025 will be compiled based on a total of 200 marks. This includes the score obtained in the MCQ test, combined with 40% of the SSC GPA (including the 4th subject) and 60% of the HSC GPA.
