7 College Admission 2025: Admission Test Likely in August-September

Dhaka, Bangladesh – The admission test for the 2024-25 session of the seven government colleges affiliated with Dhaka University may be held in August or September this year. A final decision on the matter is expected at a meeting of the interim administration of the seven colleges on Wednesday, June 18.

Professor A K M Elias, the interim administrator of the seven colleges and the principal of Dhaka College, confirmed the potential timeline. He stated that the admission test is the current priority.

“We have a meeting tomorrow where the final decision regarding the admission test may be taken,” he said on Tuesday. He added that the plan is to complete the admission tests between August and September.

The admission circular could be published as early as this month or in July. Professor Elias mentioned that there has been a slight delay in the admission process due to the work related to publishing the circular and other related tasks.

He noted that last year, classes began on November 20. Holding the admission test two months prior would not pose any problems.

In a new development, sources have indicated that second-time admission seekers may be allowed to take the exam this year, possibly with a penalty. The upcoming meeting may also see a decision on reducing the number of available seats.

The seven affiliated colleges are Dhaka College, Eden Mohila College, Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College, Kabi Nazrul Government College, Begum Badrunnesa Government Girls’ College, Government Bangla College, and Government Titumir College.
